Product Update V1.21

Plimus continues to deliver the improvements and additional features suggested by Vendors and Affliates in the Plimus community.

This Plimus service update V.1.21 due for release on February 28th, 2010 contains three important enhancements for Sellers.

Google Analytics is now supported through the complete BuyNow process to let Sellers accurately track sales performance and conversion.

The Control Panel navigation has been revised to group relevant tasks together in a more practical manner. Invoices can be automatically branded with a company logo and address details.

This update also contains fixes and improvements to provide greater usability, security, and reliability for users of the Plimus control panel and online commerce application.

Addition of Google Analytics Code to BuyNow Page Process

The Plimus platform now fully supports the addition of Google Analytics code to the BuyNow pages. Once your Google tracking code ID is entered into the relevant field on the General Settings page, you will immediately begin tracking activity through your Google Analytics account.

This functionality enables you to accurately assess the performance of your sales process. It also allows you to experiment and optimize your sales page flow using different page designs and language, boosting your conversion statistics.

To activate Google Analytics on your sales pages, first go to Settings, and then to General Settings. There, enter your Google Analytics ID in the relevant box and then press Save.

Navigation Improvements

We have streamlined the navigation and grouping of the Control Panel for Vendors and Affiliates. The new changes are designed to bring together logical tasks that are related to common operations: Shoppers’ Experience, Pricing, Orders, and Fulfillment for Vendors. This should make the Control Panel easier to use, particularly for newer users. The breadcrumbs navigation has also been improved.

The Vendor’s blue-navigation bar has been modified to include Newsletters, with Support moving up to the top text navigation row. Affiliates has been renamed Partner Sales, which more accurately reflects the current ability to set up business relationships with Affiliates and other Vendors.

As a result of this change, some navigation descriptions in our Learning Center materials will no longer be fully up-to-date.

Branded Invoices

Plimus Sellers can now take advantage of branded invoices to include their logos and basic company details on the invoices issued by Plimus once a transaction has taken place. The new invoice layouts preserve the legal requirements for the invoices to be in name of Plimus, while at the same time branding Sellers more effectively.

The Invoice automatically includes the Seller’s company logo if this has been added through the General Settings page, and also the company name and address information given in your Settings under Contact information.

We suggest that Sellers check that this information is up-to-date, and that an appropriate company logo has been added.

In order to suspend this functionality please open a ticket with our Vendor Support Team requesting that the invoice branding information be immediately excluded from your invoices.
