Plimus System Update - February 7, 2010
This Plimus service update due for release on February 7th, 2010 contains two major enhancements for Sellers.
Firstly, we have replaced the Customers’ refund request button with a more user-friendly ‘Report Problem to Plimus’ dialog. This change should help improve the purchase dispute process for the benefit of all parties.
Sellers now have the ability to select their preferred default payment methods through a drop-down menu process in the settings section. New tutorials have been added to the Learning Center.
This update also contains fixes and improvements to provide greater usability, security, and reliability of the control panel and online commerce application.

Request Refund Link Button
At the request of many Sellers, the Request Refund link on Customers' Order Information pages has been replaced by a new element with a link labeled Problem with this purchase?

Click for full size.
Clicking on the link will bring up a Report a Problem to Plimus dialog box. Customers can then select the type of problem they are experiencing and include comments. Plimus will then open a dispute and attempt to resolve it using the information submitted.

Payment Method Settings Activation
Vendors can now specify the methods of payment that they accept and override the Plimus defaults. The setup dialog can be accessed from Settings ⇒ Additional BuyNow Settings. (Just click the additional buy now settings link in the box titled BuyNow settings).
Plimus strongly recommends that all method of payment options be set to "Show", to allow customers as wide a choice as possible. Vendors can select the methods they wish to display. This may be relevant in situations were certain payment methods may be resulting in a high level of refunds or chargebacks.
Note: Due to automatic optimization, not all the same options are shown for all Vendors and territories.
