Summary

This Plimus service update due for release on December 6th 2009 contains another practical revision to the BuyNow Templates section. Users will now be able to select from a range of 'ready-to-use' default templates, and take advantage of thumbnail views that let users quickly pick the relevant customized templates they have created.

Instant Notifications now include additional customer details and fully address multiple-product sales. Russian-language users will appreciate a new dual-language display of the Plimus terms and conditions.
This update also contains fixes and improvements to provide greater usability, security, and reliability for users of the Plimus control panel and online commerce system.

A new set of video tutorials has been released in the Learning Center including one covering the Plimus Newsletter system. So check it out to find out how to mail your product offers to customers in the run up to the holidays.

Legal Agreement

Dual Language Version for Russian Vendors/Affiliates: The Plimus legal agreement is now displayed in both English and Russian for Russian users. This should help Russian-language clients deal with requirements set by leading Russian banks.

Control Panel

Sandbox: The Plimus Sandbox area now includes all the languages supported on BuyNow pages as on the live Plimus site.

Product Set Up

Add Product - Online Notice: A helpful notice about the automatic creation of a default contract is now displayed for the benefit of users when a new product is added.

Free Downloads Now Possible on Authorized Transactions: Vendors who have received authorization from Plimus to offer 'free' transactions can now provide downloads related to such free offers.

BuyNow/Order Page

New Graphic Template Chooser Interface:  The BuyNow Template section has been revised to make it easier to select different templates. Thumbnail graphics also make it easier for users to select the appropriate default or customized templates.
The improved interface should make the BuyNow Templates process more straightforward for new users, and also assist power users who have a number of customized templates for themselves and affiliates.

The Template chooser now offers a choice of standard templates, including the Classic and Modern versions of the blue Plimus default order page. Now you may simply select the template version you wish to use through the new interface rather than controlling this through the BuyNow parameter process.

The default template that will be applied to new contracts created from the date of this release is the 'Modern Template' (ID 2); this is shown below. Plain templates are also included which can be quickly customized.

Templates can be deleted from the system and restored when needed.
Thumbnails are updated once every 24 hours.

Instant Notifications

Multiple License Sales Included: 
The Plimus Instant Notification system now supports full notifications of sales of multiple licenses. The system will now issue a notice that refers to all relevant licenses.

Customer Username Parameter: Notifications can now include a new parameter - 'Customer User Name'. The terminology for the parameter is 'Username'. This also now appears in the Variables Table at:
