Plimus is very excited to announce the Cashflow Club for leading marketers and sellers of digital goods at the Affiliate Summit Conference on January 18, 2010.

Most online sellers work with affiliates, who market products and services in a variety of ways and earn their income through revenue shares. Affiliates themselves may use any number of different ways to attract new prospects and customers – ranging from Pay-per-Click Google campaigns through email newsletters, blog networks and many others.
What affiliates and the merchants with whom they partner have in common, without fail is this: they’re all in it to make money.
Sometimes, amidst the madness of creating spreadsheets, editing video, or updating our favorite social networks, we forget that our PCs are machines that need to be maintained regularly. Without regular checkups, PCs will eventually slow to a crawl and feel like they're quickly becoming geriatric. But with some active effort, we can prevent them from aging quite so quickly, and keep them running at peak performance.

In the retail world there is an unspoken convention that when checking out you must be bombarded by inexpensive impulse purchase-driven items. At the grocery store, you are tempted by bubble gum, magazines and phone cards. At furniture stores like Ikea, even, you may be tempted by Swedish meatballs and chocolate bars. And who ever left a fast food restaurant without being asked “do you want fries with that?”

Traditionally, online sellers have fit into one of two models. Either they are a pure retailer, selling other companies’ products at a mark-up. Or they are a ‘factory outlet store’, selling their own products and services direct to consumers.
The second – the factor outlet stores – are leaving literally millions of dollars on the table.
There have been recent comments around the internet regarding Plimus’ decision to delay payment to some vendors. Financial matters can be a sensitive issue and, understandably, the idea of receiving a partial payment will upset some. However, our decision to deliver only partial revenue for a standard scheduled payout is rooted in the interest of security and we have specific protocols in place to protect the interests of all related parties: vendors, customers, affiliates as well as ourselves as a company.
Members of the Plimus team are currently in Seattle where we are running a booth at the Casual Connect gathering, which brings together some great folks from the games world.

So far it's been a great show and here's a photo of the Plimus stand. If you are around the show, then please pop in and introduce yourself as Simon Jones, Angie Hunter and the gang will be delighted to chat and find out more about your thoughts on the games market.
The webinar session we ran last week with Alan Kay on Getting Sky-High Conversion is now available online.
Our Conversion webinar with Alan Kay is now online and can be freely accessed from here.

It was a mammoth session of over an hour involving presentations on both Buy Now and Landing Pages. We advise you to at least view the first half of the webinar covering Buy Now conversion.
Landing Page expert Alan Kay joins us again for a repeat of our final session topic, demonstrating tips and techniques to achieve 'Sky-High Conversion’ Rates on July 15th.

The majority of purchases made online in the United States are paid using credit or debit cards. Worldwide, however, other payment methods are more popular. In fact, in some countries, less than half of purchases are made via credit card. E-Commerce outlets that don’t take these other payment methods into account are actively limiting their income potential.
The decisive point of interaction with your customer comes on your Buy Now pages. Any improvement you can make on these pages to improve conversion will have an immediate effect on sales performance.

Plimus has been working hard to continue to evolve the platform to meet your needs and help you to grow your revenues. Today's product release includes a slate of brand new features, capabilities and interfaces available to you through the Control Panel.
You can view the highlights of the release in this short Flash presentation, or read on.

I'll be attending the Affilicon International Affiliate Marketing Summit in Israel's Avenue Convention Center, at Airport City on Monday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd, together with our VP Production, Eldad Ben Tora.
This has been an especially busy week at Plimus. On Sunday 26th April we released our new Network Sales initiative and on Thursday 30th April we have the second webinar session in our Take Charge Spring Series 2009, on Subscriptions.

Access the Replay presentation covering the opening Webinar of this practical series.
The Take Charge series is designed to get your business onto a fast-track growth line despite the current global economic crisis. The opening session covering Promotions took place on 15th April and was especially important as Promotions have a central role to play in our new Network Sales initiative which is set to be released in the next few weeks.
We have known for some time that the online purchase process is fundamentally different to the offline process. Oddly enough, we often leverage this inefficiently, as evidenced by the relative rarity of impulse offers.
If you are new to Plimus then we recommend that you take a look at our new downloadable Starter Guide.
The guide comprises two lesson chapters that take you through the initial steps of setting up a product, creating those vital buy now links, uploading your digital download to Plimus and setting up initial sales confirmation emails.

We have received positive reactions from Plimus Vendors and Affiliates regarding the graphic changes in the Plimus Control Panel area.
Just in case you have not noticed, the Plimus designers were busy before this week’s launch updating the icons in the Payment Icons Wizard tool to match our new branding.
Here’s a graphic showing some of the new variants.

With over 300 members, the Community area has got off to a nice start.
To help you learn more about the value of social networking and how to get the best out of our new online Community section, we are holding a special free webinar session on Thursday 19th February, at 8 AM PST.
The webinar will focus on how you can build up extra business, best leverage cross-sales and discover new business partners through online communities.
As part of the first step in upgrading and expanding our Vendor and Affiliate user area, we are about to launch a refreshed look and feel of the "Control Panel" section.
The Plimus designers and developers have been busy putting this new version together. To help ease the change over, this edition retains all the layout and functionality of the existing platform, but introduces a new design theme.
Plimus now provides vendors with the capability to accept e-Checks (also known as ACH) for all US-based transactions. This allows customers to pay for their purchases directly from their bank account, eliminating the need for a credit card or wire transfer.
We just got back from Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas - what a great crowd of people, let me just say!
A lot of people talked about PayPal, both its benefits and its limitations.
PayPal is like a really easy payment gateway. Once you've collected all your customer's data, you simply request money from PayPal and they either approve or deny.
The trouble folks run into is that E-Commerce demands a whole lot more than simply grabbing money from customers. You need to be able to satisfy requirements PayPal simply doesn't provide, like:
A few times a year, a whole crew of good people get together to share their ideas and plans, to discuss the issues of the day and to build a better marketplace for all. We at Plimus try to visit several of these each year, where we see real value and an opportunity to make a strong contribution to the discourse.
