Additional Payment Methods

If you've started doing business globally, you already know that many customers either don't have, or don't wish to use, credit cards online. Others prefer not to use PayPal. In some countries, more than half of the sales made use these other payment methods which are covered below.

PayPal

PayPal Logo Plimus provides complete integrated access to PayPal, allowing customers to make payment through their PayPal accounts into the Plimus system quickly and securely. PayPal can be used for both single and ongoing subscription payments.

E-Checks/ACH

E-Checks are an increasingly popular form of payment in North America and are currently offered as a payment method for customers purchasing from the USA. They enable customers to buy through Plimus and have their purchases charged directly to their current account rather than taking up valuable credit allowances. Additional information about E-Checks is available here.

Direct Debit

Currently available in Germany, Netherlands, and Spain, Direct Debit is a very common form of payment in these countries, accounting for more than 40% of all cashless payments in Germany, about 45% of the total number of transactions in Spain, and about 40% of all Internet payments in the Netherlands.

As this payment method only requires an initial setup, it is well suited for subscriptions, other recurring payments and big-ticket items. Direct Debit is a hassle-free way for customers to make regular scheduled payments, and represents a convenient 'set it up and forget it' format that consumers find particularly appealing.

Local Bank Transfers

Customers in the following countries are automatically given the option to pay through Local Bank Transfers on your Order pages:

Australia Luxembourg
Austria Netherlands
Belgium New Zealand
Canada Norway
Denmark Portugal
Finland Singapore
France Slovenia
Germany South Africa
Great Britain Spain
Greece Sweden
Hong Kong Switzerland
Ireland United Kingdom
Italy United States
Japan

Wire Transfers

Payment through Wire Transfer is available internationally. Payment needs to be made in US Dollars from a customer bank to Plimus' bank account. Purchasers are usually charged a fee of around $10 by their bank and need to discharge this fee in addition to their order costs. Confirmed clearance of funds can take several days.

Fax Orders

Plimus accepts Fax orders from customers for your products for payment by Credit Card only. Such transactions are managed by the Plimus support team and are included as on option for payment on Order pages.

Phone Orders

Plimus operators process Phone orders from customers for payment by Credit Card only during extended weekday office hours. This method of payment is built into the order pages as another seamless service solution.

Mail Orders

Plimus accepts payment by checks, cashier checks and money orders that are sent via traditional mail to Plimus' offices. Checks and Money Orders are accepted for US Dollars only.

Cashiers checks are drawn on a bank's account and are for the most part regarded as cleared funds. Money orders are usually issued through a national post office or by companies such as Western Union and as they are prepaid they are regarded as a secure form of payment. Cash cannot be accepted by mail.

Upon receipt of funds, the customer's order is processed and items released upon payment clearance.

Purchase Orders

Sellers have the option to accept Purchase Orders, which are a standard procedure for many large companies. These are particularly important for securing B2B sales and Plimus can manage all your Purchase Order processing requirements saving you time and administration costs.
