Completely Customized Checkout Process
The Plimus e-Business Platform provides tremendous flexibility in adjusting both the look-and-feel and the process flow of the checkout. However, for some sellers, there is a need to go even deeper – to eliminate the Plimus-provided checkout experience entirely.

With Buy Anyware™, PCI-Compliant sellers can collect all personal and financial information on your own pages, then transmit it to Plimus for processing. You still receive the core benefits of the platform – fraud management, serial/activation number delivery, purchase confirmation, and so forth – but can now be fully in charge of the user experience.

Buy Anyware™ is not limited to the browser. Essentially any internet-connected application can act as the intermediary between customer and e-Commerce. Embed e-Commerce in a Flash game, a C# utility, or even a mobile app. Now you can extend your e-Commerce reach, so that customers can buy anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

Single-Click Purchase Processes to Repeat Customers
Regardless of whether you use the Plimus e-Business Platform or Buy Anyware™ to process the first payment made by your customer, you can make the second and subsequent purchases utterly frictionless through single-click purchases.

Once a deal is closed, and assuming you have obtained permission from the customer in the initial sale, you can access their Plimus account to make future charges. This eliminates the need for the customer to re-enter their information, or even to have their credit card handy. At the same time, you can continue to transact business without having to manage confidential credit card data.

Customers can even store a number of different credit cards with their account, allowing you the opportunity to ask them to specify which card from their stored list they would like to use each time.

Secure Login to the Plimus Shopper Control Panel
Customers who purchase subscriptions from you, as well as those who wish to store multiple credit cards for future use, have access to the fully-customizable Plimus Shopper Control Panel. In order to do so, you need only surface their Plimus Shopper ID and Password during the purchase process.
However, if your customer already has an account with your business, you may prefer not to have the customer remember two sets of credentials. So long as you store the customer’s Plimus account ID within your system, you can generate an authentication token through Buy Anyware™ with which you can log the customer directly into the Plimus Shopper Control Panel, eliminating the need for the customer to know their Plimus credentials.

The token is encrypted and time-limited, with the time limit set by you in the API request, and provides excellent ease-of-use and security, even in shared computer situations.

Seller-Hosted Customer Account Management Controls
Go one step further and keep more of the customer’s interaction with their account on your own site. Using Buy Anyware™ you can automate typical user requests, limiting the need to leave and visit Plimus. For instance, you can create functions to:

  • List all past purchases and refunds
  • View the specifics for any given order
  • List all past payments on a given subscription
  • View next payment date and amount
  • Change, update or cancel a subscription

By combining these extended capabilities, you can guide the customer through processes that make sense for your business. For instance, when a customer selects the ‘Cancel Subscription’ button, you can guide them through a process in which you offer them alternatives, such as shifting to a different subscription, or accepting a few days free. The choices are limited only by your creativity.

Innovative Subscription Terms & Programs
Because you can programmatically update future payment dates and amounts for any subscription using Buy Anyware™, you can offer innovative subscription types – perhaps charge one dollar for the first 45 days, then revert to a regular payment of $19.99 monthly thereafter.

You can even make changes on the fly, which can support powerful programs. For instance, you might run a survey across your user base, offering anyone who completes the survey ten free days of service. As soon as they reach the end of the survey process, you simply reach out with the API and extend their next payment date.
