BuyNow Page Customization

JavaScript Integration
Because the Plimus BuyNow page is based on standard HTML, you can integrate JavaScript controls in to achieve your specific needs.

JavaScript functions can be associated with either the <HEAD> or <BODY>sections of the BuyNow page, and you can equally reference a .js file from essentially any web-available location.

  • JavaScript is typically used for purposes such as
  • Adjusting the presentation of standard checkout items (i.e. the standard form fields, tables and so forth)
  • Adding customer process-driven behaviors, such as dynamically offering different promotional items, sourcing preference-driven marketing creative and so forth
  • Implementing ‘pixels’ or other tracking mechanisms to enable analytics and other campaign tracking assets

Analytics & Tracking Integration
The Plimus hosted e-Commerce platform includes integration with Google Analytics for your use. However, you may opt to add other analytics and tracking items in order to deliver additional value back to your business.

Using the BuyNow Steps area of the Contract BuyNow Template, you can quickly and easily embed analytics and tracking code (generally REST and/or JavaScript based) within each and every step of the checkout process. The normal requirements of your selected analytics provided will apply as normal.

Passing Custom Parameters
The Plimus hosted e-Commerce application not only delivers comprehensive coverage for your online transactions, it also enables you to pass data throughout the whole process. Five custom fields are reserved for you to use, allowing you to deliver, for instance, traffic source or internal SKU codes into each purchase; you then receive these in the Instant Payment Notifications that are delivered whenever a sale is made.

Instant Payment Notifications
Every time an e-Commerce event occurs – a sales closing, for instance, or a subscription payment being completed – Plimus will POST the details of that event to a script that you build and maintain. You can use this information for any purpose that makes sense to your business. Plimus clients today use this invaluable, real-time update to:
