Step-by-Step Tutorial:

1. Join Plimus as an Affiliate - or Seller

.
Just select the Register link at the top of any Plimus web page.

2. Complete the Registration Form

When the Register page opens you should then select the Become an Affiliate navigation link (1) to open the registration page for Affiliates.

Once you have reviewed our legal terms, signing up literally takes a minute. Just provide the necessary information, agree to the terms of use, and complete the 'captcha' field (2) then press the 'Create My Account' button. You will then have immediate access to the Plimus system. You will receive a verification email from Plimus. Please be sure to complete the verification process within a week.

Note: If you also have your own products which you wish to sell through Plimus then we recommend you register as a Seller, which will allow you to sell both your own products and act as an affiliate reseller of other companies' items.

3. Enter Control Panel and Select Marketplace

After registering you will arrive at the Control Panel. After reviewing the requirements relating to verifying your email details select Marketplace from the blue navigation bar. This will take you to the Marketplace where you can browse and search for products and services to sell as an Affiliate.

The default view in the Marketplace is according to 'Marketplace Score' which is a useful comparative product grading based on the level of affiliate revenues generated, current number of active affiliates promoting the item and its refund ratio.

4. Check Plimus' Recommended Affiliate Offers in the Product Marketplace

(1) We suggest that you select the 'Recommended by Plimus Only' view to see a selection of approved Affiliate offers which you can begin marketing as a Plimus Affiliate. These items are marked with a small blue Plimus recommended 'rosette' icon and have been selected by Plimus because of their popularity and attractive commission rates.
(2) Each item listed includes details of the average earnings per sale and the average commission rate.
(3) The Seller's description of the product is included along with item information and Seller web site links.

5. Select a Recommended Item

(1) Products and services that are pre-cleared for sale by all Affiliates are marked with the blue 'rubber stamp' icon.
If the item is not pre-cleared -- as in this example -- the Seller's approval has to be obtained before you can start selling. This straight forward procedure is 'built into' the Marketplace.
(2) Click the Sellable Items link to view a list of the various versions of this product that are open to sale by Affiliates.
(3) Click the Sell Now button to start selling these items, or alternatively select a specific 'Sell Now' link for a particular item in the 'Sellable Items' list.

6. Complete the Request to Sell Form

Pressing the Sell Now button will bring up a short 'Request to Sell Products' screen.
Review the Affiliate terms being offered and feel free to add your own comments to help the supplier decide whether you are a good fit for their product. You may suggest a different commission if appropriate. Then press Submit.
(Note: Even if the item is pre-approved for affiliate sale you will still need to submit this form - only the approval stage itself is automatic).

7. Wait for Approval to Sell as Affiliate

Now that the request to sell has been submitted, the product supplier (Seller) will send a confirmation or rejection of your request that will go to the email address you set in your Plimus account preferences under Contact Information.
Note that it may take a few days for the Seller respond.

Hint: It's fine to send a polite reminder after a couple of days stating that you are excited to start marketing, but if the request is rejected don't take it personally as there are many reasons why a Seller might not want to give permission at a particular time, often not connected with the applicant.

8. Browse Additional Items to Sell using the Marketplace's Powerful Search Tools

There are many other ways to search for more specific items that suit your needs by using the Marketplace's numerous search and view options. Here for instance we are searching for particular item, but you can also select categories and sub-categories to match your target market. See the Marketplace Help Guide has full details.

Once you have located the item you wish to sell click the Sell This Product button and the Request to Sell dialog will open.

9. Your Request is Accepted and you Receive an Email Notification

When your request is accepted you will receive an email notification with your unique affiliate sales URLs. A mail will also be sent if your request is not accepted.

10. The Item Appears in Your Products List

When you are approved as an Affiliate the item(s) will also be automatically added to your Product and Contract listings.
Next click on the Product link as shown above to open the Product Information page for this item.

11. Basic Information Appears in the Product Information page

Next click the Contract link to open the Contract page for this item which will include your links.

12. Start Selling Using the BuyNow Links Shown on Your Contract Set Up Page

Click the link to the Contract to access your unique sales links, and if provided by the Product Vendor, trackable Product Information, Trial Download and Pad file links that can all be used to generate sales.
Sales resulting from any of these page links will be credited to your account as they display your unique affiliate reference.

Just add these links to sales buttons and sales text links on your site, blog, Facebook as well as in your marketing emails. It's simple and straight forward. You will be paid directly from Plimus, so your commission is always secure!

Click on the BuyNow 'Open Link' to view your sales page.

13. View Your BuyNow Page

This is the 'BuyNow' page your customers will use to order the affiliate items you are promoting.
This page has been lightly customized by the product supplier. The Affiliate's unique ID is included in the URL.

14. Sales Notifications and Access to Order Information Pages

You will get mail notifications of sales. You can also set up Instant Notifications if required on your contract set up page.
As an Affiliate you are given access to all relevant transaction information through the Order Information page for each order. Links to this page are included on sales confirmation mails and your list of recent transactions.

15. Access Live Reports

(1) Press the Commissions link on your home page to bring up the Reports selection screen to track your sales and commissions.
(2) You can select other reports using the drop down menu. The system delivers all the reports you need to manage your sales and (3) the reports can be saved to Excel with just one click.

16. Keep Up-to-Date with New Affiliate Sales Opportunities

Plimus issues regular newsletter and control panel notifications of the latest Affiliate Sales offers from leading product vendors at attractive commission rates. Check these offers to make sure you continue to offer great products.
