This Plimus service update V1.23 due for release on June 6th, 2010 contains two major enhancements for Sellers and Affiliates.

The creation of customized BuyNow Parameter links and attractive BuyNow sales buttons is now simplified by a new interface which should help increase sales conversion.

Affiliates and Vendors alike will benefit from a robust new Flash-based affiliate referral cookie that provides improved sales tracking even if potential shoppers change browsers or exercise ‘private browsing' functions.

This update also contains fixes and improvements to provide greater usability, security, and reliability for users of the Plimus control panel and online commerce application.

BuyNow Parameters Link & Button Generator

This new tool makes the creation and use of basic BuyNow Page Parameter links a breeze. Sellers can also create attractive and effective sales buttons in just seconds, in a choice of color and sizes including preferences relating to credit card icon display.

The button generator can help improve conversion and the BuyNow Parameters function lets you quickly set your own preferred BuyNow link Parameters - such as displaying a specific currency or language - to suit your customers' needs.

The creation of the BuyNow Parameters is cumulative, so you can add as many as parameters as you need from the popular choices on offer.

Flash-Based Affiliate Cookie Tracking

A number of Plimus Sellers requested that we offer an additional tracking cookie to record sales by their Affiliates. We are therefore pleased to introduce Plimus' new Flash-based Affiliate cookie, designed to track Affiliate sales notwithstanding that potential customers may activate new Web browser features such as private browsing, or use different browsers on the same computer. In the event that such cookies are not supported by certain browser configurations or platforms, then the standard Affiliate referral cookie will still be tracked.
