Regular Payment Schedule (top)
Payouts are generally made to Sellers and Affiliates on the 15th of each month for the previous month's sales. If the due day of payment is a Sunday or US national holiday, then payment will be issued on the next business day. During the course of the month, you can check your general sales and affiliate sales reports for up-to-date sales performance statistics.
For larger volume accounts, contact a sales representative for more information on tailored fee structures and more frequent payouts.
Plimus charges and deducts VAT and California Sales Tax as necessary. Such payments are charged to the end customer and Plimus accounts directly to the appropriate tax authorities for such sums.
Choice of Payout Methods (top)
Sellers and Affiliates can choose the way they are paid through their control panel via Settings > Payment Method. Upon opening a Plimus account, you will be asked to provide payment information for your choice of payout.
The default method of payment for clients with US-based bank accounts is e-check (ACH). For users outside the USA, the default method is check sent by mail.
Payment by e-check is free, while payment by check incurs a processing fee of $2 per payment cycle.
The time taken for payments to show up in your account will vary according to the method of payment selected.
The most popular method for fast secure payment is Wire Transfer. This involves an additional fee to cover bank issuing and processing charges, currently $21 for payment in US Dollars and $15 for payment in other currencies. All pertinent banking information is required in order to set up such payments.
Payments can also be made by PayPal and by Plimus' pre-paid credit card. The Plimus pre-paid card is provided in association with our partner, Payoneer, and is a reloadable credit card especially recommended for international Sellers. Further information is available here.
The selected payment method may be changed as needed and changes will take place at the end of the next payment cycle.
Affiliates are charged a standard payment processing fee of $2.50 per payment cycle.
Affiliate Commission and Royalty Payments (top)
Payments include additions and deductions for Affiliate commissions and Royalty payments. Such payments are based on the commission or royalty sums set up in the system by the Seller.
Minimum Payment Amount (top)
The minimum payment amount is currently $35 for both Sellers and Affiliates. You have the option to increase this minimum. Any unpaid sum will be carried over and paid out the next time the payable amount reaches the set minimum amount.
Refunds and Chargebacks (top)
If a refund or chargeback is made on a sale, the transaction amount will be debited back out of the appropriate Seller's, Affiliate's, and Royalty recipient's accounts.
Plimus users should note that chargebacks can be made up to 6 months from the date of each transaction. For this reason, Plimus needs to ensure that accounts contain sufficient funds to meet potential chargeback and refund liabilities to your end customers.
Plimus reserves the right to hold monies in reserve to ensure that there are sufficient funds for you to meet ongoing refund and chargeback requests from your customers.
A fee of $15 is imposed on each chargeback. This fee is based on the sums charged by processors to Plimus. Plimus bears such fees up to a threshold of 0.4% by number of transactions during each payment cycle. If this threshold is passed, then chargeback fees will be deducted from the Seller for each chargeback made.
Plimus transaction fees are payable even in the event that a transaction is subsequently refunded or charged back, as Plimus incurs processing fees as soon as a transaction takes place.
Payment Reports (top)
Full payment reports are available on or before the 14th of each month. Each payment report notes relevant sales, generated revenue, affiliate commissions payable and receivable, refunds, chargebacks, and any reserves and carryovers.
Seller-to-Seller Transfers (top)
In certain bona fide circumstances, Sellers may make a transfer of funds to other Sellers or business partners selling on Plimus. Such transfers are dependent on sufficient monies being held on account and may require prior clearance. Any such transfers will be shown in your payment reports as a debit or credit.
Reserve Holdbacks (top)
To ensure that Sellers and Affiliates can meet potential liabilities for refunds and chargebacks, Plimus reserves the right to retain or request a reasonable sum to be held as a reserve. Any such sums will be held strictly to your account. The amount held on reserve will be determined by a number of factors including sales and reversals history, product type, and industry. The need for a reserve may also be affected by significant increases or reductions in sales volumes over specific payment periods.
Any sums held on reserve will be clearly shown in your Payment reports and will be carried over to the next appropriate payment cycle.
Termination (top)
Following termination, Sellers and Affiliates remain exposed to refund and chargeback calls for up to 6 months beyond the date of each transaction. In such cases, Plimus may retain a reasonable sum of monies on reserve to cover potential liabilities after termination for a period of up to 6 months, after which funds will be released.
Note: The matters above are governed by the standard Plimus Sellers' terms and conditions which have full contractual force. This information is provided for your additional guidance.
