Step-by-Step Tutorial:

1. Make Your Contracts Ready for Affiliates and Cross Vendor Sellers

In the Marketing section of your Contract set up page make your contract Available to Partners and select a default commission.

Select Yes to have your contract included in the Plimus Product Catalog and made available for Cross-Vendor sales. Agree to Participate in Plimus Marketing Channels so that your product can be publish on approved directory and download sites and set a commission for such sellers. Check the fields to be published in the Plimus store and on Froogle.

Finally you need to decide whether to auto approve affiliate requests or manually vet each one. If you initially wish to gather sales momentum, it makes sense to Auto Approve.

2. Look for Partners

(1) Select Affiliates & Partners link.
(2) Click on the Increase your Points of Sale tab.
(3) Browse through the Plimus Catalog to find new potential partners.
(4) Then click the hyperlink Issue Partner Invitation Links.

3. Invite Partners - Create Partner Invitation Link

(1) Select the Product and or Contract you wish to invite potential Partners to sell. Set the commission you are offering.
Decide whether to automatically approve acceptances or not. Auto approval will save you time.
(2) You can limit the invitation to a specific Vendor ID or email address. If you are publishing a general invitation on a blog, web site or community posting, then it is probably best not to limit.
(3) Press the Generate Invitation Link button.

4. Distribute the Link

The relevant invitation link appears and you just need save and then issue the link. Publish and distribute the link on your site, in the Community and send it by email to potential partners explaining how they will benefit from selling your products.
Please note that this link is not a sales link, it's a device to help you get new Affiliate partners.

5. Partners Accept the Link

The recipient "accepts" the link simply by opening it. When the link is opened, the recipient will be transferred to the Plimus login page.
(1) New partners will be able to start selling immediately if they have been auto approved, if not, they will have to wait for your manual approval.
(2) Invitees who are not Plimus users will be able to create a Plimus account before they can start selling.

6. Partners Now Appear in Your Manage Affiliates & Partners Page

Your Partner affiliates will now appear on your account's Manage Affiliates and Partners Page.
(1) Partners can be deleted if required and (2) commissions changed. Your partners will automatically be advised of such changes.
(3) The right-hand column is used to set the option to have emails to customers addressed from the respectve Affiliate.
Commissions can be changed if required and your partners will be automatically advised of changes.

7. Access Affiliate Sales and Commission Reports

Sales and commissions are automatically added to your relevant Payment Reports, which can be reviewed in live time.
Your Affiliates will be credited with the commissions they have earned and paid on their due date.

8. New Incoming Partner Requests

Alerts of new Partner requests will be shown in your control panel listing, with full details appearing in your Pending Incoming Requests page.
