The BuyNow page shows the item you are selling, the price and how your customers will pay for it.
Open the BuyNow Template link from the Home Page of the control panel or from a specific contract.
This will bring up the BuyNow Template Chooser page.
We recommend that you browse through the templates listed on this page.
The top line lists templates you have created, followed on the bottom line by a set of Plimus sample BuyNow templates. Just click on any thumbnail to preview any template.
Plimus supplies two default blue templates - Classic and Modern. The Modern template is automatic default for contracts that were created after November 2009 and the Classic is applied to contracts created prior to that date. Use the arrows to navigate through the display.
In addition to these defaults Plimus provides a few extra basic templates that are ready for you to customize as you wish.
Templates can be deleted and then restored at any time by pressing the link at the bottom left of the page. Thumbnail libraries are updated once every 24 hours.
Pressing either Edit, Customize or New Template brings up the BuyNow Template creation/editor page. Let's now examine this.
This interface is used to edit, customize or build a sales template page.
Links at the top of the BuyNow Template Editor page open up a useful Template Tips page, with some top-rate BuyNow page examples, and an Icon Wizard that generates attractive Payment Card and Security icons for you to add to your BuyNow page.
On the BuyNow Template Editor page you can:
(1) Save the template with any name you wish.
(2) Use the easy-to-use interface to set text fonts, color and size for Text, Title and Error fonts.
You can also align your content as required.
(3) Don't forget to upload relevant images that need to be displayed, such as your company logo.
We recommend that you upload all BuyNow page images onto Plimus using the Image upload link so that your customer does not get any browser warnings about your page containing non-secure items.
Use the Html code box to customize your page so that it supports your brand and main web property.
You need a working knowledge of Html to do this. The examples link at the top of the page shows how powerful this functionality is.
Note: You must include the Plimus <#Content#> tag so that the order process elements can work properly.
Additional Optional Tags may be added as required by clicking on the relevant tag in the side element. These will be placed into your code at the desired cursor point.
BuyNow Steps control the flow of the sales process.
(1) A tool tip icon element explains each step in detail when you mouseover it.
(2) You may input extra information and code as required over and above the default behavior.
(3) Some of the steps support Optional tags as well.
The Thank You page is a good place to include licensing and support information.
The Return to URL dialog lets you set up a URL to which the customer is taken after the transaction is completed. This could be an additional product offer page or a special information page for customers.
Use the options to determine whether the user is sent there automatically or needs to press a Continue button.
It's advisable to present your customer with an option to accept a Newsletter if you have set one up in the system. This is a great way to start an ongoing relationship with your customer so that you send new offers and update information.
Make sure you SAVE your settings by pressing the Save button.
After saving click the Test BuyNow button to review your changes and modifications.
To fully test customized BuyNow pages we recommend that you first set up your page on a free Plimus Sandbox account. Just click this URL to register and access: https://sandbox.plimus.com/jsp/developer_login.jsp
This will let you accurately scrutinize your complete sales flow rather than just look and feel. When satisfied just copy your code and upload relevant images to your main Plimus account and then start using the live pages.
Each time a new Contract is created a default BuyNow page is created.
It just takes seconds to change the BuyNow Template for a contract.
Let's take this existing contract as an example. It currently sports the Classic Default template. From the Contract settings page just press the Buy Now Template link. This takes us to the BuyNow Template chooser page.
You can immediately see that the current template for this contract is the Classic Plimus default template.
To change this selection to the Modern version, just click Apply under the template called Modern Template.
After clicking the Apply button the contract now sports the Modern Template version.
You may at any time amend your choice, edit, customize or build a new template and assign it to any contract you wish.
